disciples that make disciples
So why the School of Missional Life?
Many years ago, Jesus said something of the utmost importance to his disciples before he returned to the Father.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
Those early disciples did just that, and groups of disciple-making disciples expanded around the world. Today we are the fruit of their obedience.

At New Life Church in Milton Keynes, we have been challenged to follow their example. We came to believe that the main call is to make disciples that make disciples. Jesus took his disciples on a missional journey to prepare them for what was to come. So, we launched the School of Missional Life as a means to equip every disciple to make disciples. We thought let’s do a missional journey together to impart and discover our royal identity in Christ, our deep call to a life of encounter and our kingdom assignment as disciples.

On the school we work freely with open hands towards other churches, and many from other churches and countries are students, on team and share the joy of this journey. Jesus clearly said “all nations” and we celebrate the grace students have been given to serve churches in local mission in seven nations.

Our Year 2 programme is an open opportunity for Year 1 students to invest in others and make disciples themselves, seeing others develop and engage in outreach, service and loving others.
We certainly have not got it all worked out, and we too serve the Lord of the Harvest in humility and grace. But we have a mandate and a prayer, as Jesus said;

“The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest.”
Grace and favour,
